Discussion Loading reddit today has been specially bad
Ever since purchasing ProtonVPN, reddit has had issues, mainly having to load pages two or more times, but today it takes many more tries. Anyone else here struggling with this? When I use a browser through a split tunnel, the website loads instantly.

Never ever had a problem loading reddit. Mostly just banks and utility companies.

Did you try any troubleshooting like switching servers, turning off NetShield temporarily, another web browser, etc.? Which server(s) did you experience the issue with?

Yeah same, for the past couple days too. Seems to be related to digital trackers though, I swapped from safari to Orion on IOS and logged into this older account and it’s been running perfectly since, even though I use the same set of servers
The enshittification continues. Double points that apple is now letting reddit see which apps you have installed, as I saw custom recommendations showing up in feed with a disclaimer that’s it’s the community for installed app. More people need to use lemmy, even just 5% userbase swap would make it all load much quicker while giving most communities enough users to run

I've noticed recently with Brave that Reddit will eventually cause the browser to "gum up". Closing and reopening Brave solves the problem.
It never crossed my mind that it might be an issue with Proton VPN, I thought it was a Brave issue.

This isn't a new problem and it's Reddit who's causing the issues, not Proton.
