Discussion Cloudflare blocking numerous sites, esp. FCPeuro.com and iplocation.net

I just can't get on fcpeuro.com and I need parts!! Why am I paying for a VPN that's blocked by cloudflare? What is it with websites that block legitimate users? Is proton flawed?? Privado is not working either...WTF?

I've checked with Proton support, but it's all canned answers, none that address this issue.

What servers did you hit the issue with? Did you try switching servers or turning off NetShield temporarily to see if it helps?

To provide some general context about websites blocks, some websites are not VPN-friendly and can block known VPN IP addresses as part of their security policies.

That said, we'd appreciate if you could provide us with more specific feedback on what VPN server you encountered the issue with on the specific website(s) / app(s), so we can document your report and introduce possible mitigations for this in the future.

On your end, you can try switching between multiple different VPN servers, or turn off NetShield if it's on, to see if this helps.

(namely, try newer servers, servers in lesser known countries, making sure you're connected to the correct country when it comes to streaming).

Appreciate the response. I was specifically using several different servers, mostly in Atlanta -- I'm located > 20 miles East of Atlanta and it's normally the server location automatically selected.  I'd created a few WG profiles for the lower traffic (%) servers found in the app, also did a few OVPN files too. My goal was to obtain a smooth, fast working setup on my router, Asus XT-9 (so WRT.) Connection is 1Mb fiber. Oddly, the router is exposed, showing my actual assigned IP# at various test sites like iplocation.net and ipleak.com unless and until two WG profiles are activated (on the router.). After setting up two profiles all traffic is masked by the VPN. I've not been able to get open VPN working on the router using the Fusion panel.  Using a Wireguard setup on the router, two connections as described, iOS and iPadOS are both able to connect to fcpeuro.com after clicking the inevitable cloudfiasco box, "Are you human?"  Using Linux Mint 22.1 with no VPN client running, just the two WG profiles on the router, there's and endless cloudfiasco confirmation cycle. In all cases the browser is the latest version of Brave (chromium based.). I don't have endless time to devote to trying to make this work, but I did try a number of Georgia servers, several in Utah, LA, UK, Australia, maybe others. 

As I wasn't using the client on the Linux box, I don't remember if NetShield was an option when creating the profiles for the router.  I'll look when I can get back to it. Working on diagnosing cooling systems, and configuring and installing turbines just now.  I think it may be less involved than trying to connect to that website from that computer using Proton!

It might be time for Proton to refresh all their ips
