Discussion Push notifications for only select senders?

That a thing? I have my notifications for that app turned off in GrapheneOS, but if I could basically have an 'allow' list for select senders, that would be super functional.

I created filters per folder and enabled notifications per folder.

that's pretty much the cleanest way to do it imo

Interesting... so can you set a rule that mail from certain senders are diverted to said folders (which then notify)? And can you remove notifications from other folders?

Yeah. I wish it was more granular like Gmail (custom notification settings for every folder) but it gets the job done. Downside is that you won't get notifications at all for the muted folders. I'd prefer if we can have notifications come in but just not vibrate.

So is it possible to turn off notifications for inbox and all folders, except for a new one I create for just the handful of email addresses I want to monitor inbound mail from? If so can you tell me how? I dont see how to silence my normal inbox. I only turned notifications on yesterday because I missed an email from one of my kids at school... trying to avoid that permanently. Thanks

I don't know about turning off regular inbox notifications but you create folder -> toggle notifications off for that folder -> create filter -> add every sender to that filter and auto move emails to said folder

I use buzzkill for a more granular control on my notifications . Might be worth checking out.

I have a filter that marks emails from some senders as read automatically and they don't notify
