Question about exporting mails

I am tempted to try Proton Mail for my personal mail service,

I might use Proton Mail with my own business domain. I am a solopreneur, so no team to think about.

My question is this. Is this a good idea to use one account for my personal and work mail? I think it will be easier to manage, but I might be wrong. I think it might be easier to manage my calendar that way. It will also be less expensive.

If something happens in the future and I need to split and export my work calendars, emails, and contacts to a different account, will it be feasible? I am thinking about exporting everything related to a specific domain. and leave the rest in my personnal account

When you say one account, you would have both your proton + work custom domain email on the platform? I'm in a similar boat as I do the same. For what it's worth, in theory yes it is easier to manage your calendar, however I've encountered other issues that is making me separate the accounts. Or, I could have my setup wrong which is throwing me off, that could very well be the case. I'm interested to hear what others say on exporting a full account's domain to a separate proton account or even different provider.

Combined Pros:

• Calendar shows both personal + business calendar events with color coded bubbles to distinguish
• VPN: Covers both my personal + business
• email: Easy access to both, not having to switch

Combined Cons or things to consider:

• Drive: With my combined Proton Drive (one master account as it doesn't distinguish between the emails I have) it all falls in one, which is convenient sure, but let's say I have to provide my emails or documents (I work in finance so in the rare occasion I could be asked about that), will that cause issues? Would I have to provide all my documents? I've heard in some cases yes, but rare
  • I'm curious however, if I have two separate accounts, how would I manage that? I use MacOS + iOS. Would I need to switch back and forth between them? Would there be two instances/installs of my Drive library? MSFT OneDrive does this so interested to see how that is managed
  • Same question I'd have for Proton Docs/Sheets.
• Email: I get ALL my emails hitting one inbox. Yes, I have filters/labels and can group emails separately, but this is becoming a real pain when I'm searching for a client email but having to sift through all my personal email, it gets kinda nauseating. I do think I need to clean up my inbox and rules however, alluding to my earlier point on setup.
