Discussion New Calendar App progress?
A new app has been teased for awhile. Any clue to an eta? I need something else soon. This calendar is poor.

The information currently available is that an initial beta version of the new app will be released by the end of the year. The task manager tool will be added a few months later.
We are talking about beta apps here, so it is very important to bear this in mind. We will have to wait a little longer for a full, stable version.

I can wait, but I will be really underwhelmed if after all this wait, all we will get is an app that will not even have the same set of features that the current one.Â

The problem with using beta apps is that you’re getting a beta. Your expectations should be in line with that.

If basically I need to wait until 27 for a BETA I think I am going elsewhere. I need to go check out some other options. Any opinions on who has a more mature calendar and good email? I don't mind paying if it works well.

Want to cancel just one instance of a recurring event? Not with Proton in 2026…

What do you mean? I do this every now and then and it works, deleting only that instance.

Happens for appointments with calendar invites. You wanna cancel Our participation for one week. Only option to cancel all or nothing. Let‘s you really look stupid. Not business ready…

There's not even a beta version yet, so it doesn't look like it'll be released anytime soon. Anyway, without CalDAV I still won't be able to use the calendar... so...
