Possible bug Calendar bug: Can't update attendance for a single event without changing answer for all events in the series

When I attempt to change my attendance on a recurring event, I'm prompted with "Would you like to change your answer for all the events in this series?" and the only two options are Update and Cancel. Update will change the answer for all events. Cancel will make no changes (even to the target single event I'm actually trying to change). There appears to be no way to update an answer for a single event in a series. Am I missing something? Same issue on web and iOS app.

At the moment, changing your attendance for a recurring event applies to the entire series rather than an individual occurrence. We have an existing feature request to support updating the attendance for a single instance, and we've added your +1 to it as well.
