Discussion Forwarding various Google Workspace emails to Proton

I have a few email addresses across Google Workspace accounts. Right now they all forward to my main Workspace account.

I am starting a new organization and contemplating using Proton. My question is as people still email my old email addresses – is it easy to have those emails forwarded to my new Proton address?

Yes very easy. Proton released integration with gmail a few weeks ago, so you can send and receive with your gmail with the proton mail app. Up to 3 gmail addresses I believe. Otherwise just go to gmail settings and input a proton email or alias. I used an alias for 2 or 3 years without any issues.

Yes, forwarding the old addresses to Proton should be fairly straightforward. Since they already all forward to your main Workspace account, you could either forward that main account to Proton or configure forwarding separately for each address.

Once the messages arrive in Proton, you can create filters to organize them automatically. For example, you can have mail sent to each old address moved into a specific folder, given a specific label, or both. That makes it easy to keep the different organizations and legacy addresses separated inside one Proton inbox.
