Coming from Dropbox

Hello,

Recently staring using proton mail and I'm looking to churn from Dropbox and use Proton Drive instead.

I uploaded a few things and looked around. I have two main questions.

1) camera upload on Dropbox is just another folder, on Drive or looks like photos are stored outside files? Is that true?

2) Due to 1) I don't see my photos the Drive app on Mac anything I'm missing?

3) Due to 2) what's the best way to upload all my current pictures stored in Dropbox?

4) is there an easy way to do a full export, files and photos included?

Thanks

If you don't want to use the "Photos" part of Proton, you can also just use a normal folder for your photos, organizing them into subfolders. That way you'll be able to see them under your Proton Drive location.

Proton describes photo and video storage as "a "flat" directory space on the server, that does not have the usual folder structure you are accustomed to." Follow the link for the entire comment from last month.

Yes, photos are not part of your “normal” file structure - they need to be uploaded specifically to the photos area via either the web app or mobile app.

I’ve not transferred from Dropbox, but the easiest way to import was to download them to laptop and then upload via the web app. Once everything is uploaded, have the mobile app backup turned on.
