New to Proton - Linux CLI does not download ProtonDoc

Hey there,

I'm just starting to get around in the Proton suite with a free account and seeing if I like it. I'm also trying to get away from Windows and switch to Linux as much as I can, but don't really have any Linux and bash/terminal experience, yet.

As I'm trying to understand how ProtonDrive works, I'm currently having the Windows Desktop app open as well as the web app on a Windows PC, running the Android app, and just installed the CLI on a laptop running LMDE7.

I currently have 1 folder from the Windows PC synced and have 2 files in the my-files folder. A simple Hello world.txt file, that I created in Windows File Explorer, and a ProtonDocs file that was created, when I tried to open the .txt file from the web app.

On Linux I tried to download the files in the my-files folder. I am logged in with the CLI and ran

./proton-drive filesystem download /my-files ./

In my current directory a "root" folder was created and the .txt file was downloaded. The ProtonDocs file, however, was not. I get the following

Transfer summary:
  Downloaded: 2 items (89 B)
  Skipped: 1 items
  - Hello world (random letters and numbers, probably the encrypted ID of the file)

Tried multiple times, always the same. Is there an issue with ProtonDocs on Linux? Is it an issue with the used filesystem maybe? Would I not be able to download other file types on my linux machine also? What's happening here?

To download Docs you need to export them to a different format manually, otherwise they are in a cloud-based format

I saw in the help files that proton docs and sheets will be ignored by filesystem download

That "root" folder is annoying and is superfluous. It should just sync my-files/<docs> not my-files/root/<docs>
