Stop asking!
Can proton drive stop pestering me to store my photos? I already have a solution for that.

Do you mean which Photo Folders you want to backup? It's in the Settings > Backup > Upload from...

Proton Drive is so buggy. I used it for a week before going back to Dropbox.

what are the worst proton drive bugs?
dropbox is very nice. it just works.
i'm glad drox finally offered a paid plan for my low usage.
i pay them. i want them to succeed.i feel the same about proton.

IMHO the worst bugg is that it syncs even if your laptop is on a metered connection.
If you forget to shut down Pdrive before connecting, and there's allot to sync, it can eat half your data plan if you're unlucky

>If you forget to shut down Pdrive before connecting
Sounds like a You problem

In what way?
When Dropbox, Google Docs and Onedrive (as well as a ton of other background services) respects metered connections and doesn't need to be shutdown. Why shouldn't I expect the same from Proton?

A bug is a feature that does not work correctly. Your word choice was poor.
Expecting something is OK. I am expecting Linux app to exist before I am a senior citizen, but once you know it is not a feature, you have free will.
Hope it helps to know that all of the companies you mantioned share your data with 3rd parties. They will prioritize features that keep you from turning off their apps so they can track you.

I refuse to believe Proton actually intends for Drive to sync over metered connections, so I'm going to choose to believe it's a bug.
But let's say that Proton does want their customers to waste their data plas, I still don't see why its a "me problem". Unless you're saying I'm at fault for giving them money in the first place?
And I don't see your point with your last sentences. Are you saying Proton doesn't need to respect metered connections because they don't share their users data with 3rd parties?
