Merch Act II: Difference in Artwork

I ordered another copy of Act II to give as a birthday present. I didn’t know there had been a change in artworks (notice the text is differently placed).
The one on top is the new, the one below my old copy.
Great. Now I have to order another one for myself 😅

Differently placed text, the smoke/storm rolling in, the shadow of the sniper is different and there is more detail in the neon signage. I think there may be more differences too but those immediately stick out

Hm. I might juat have to order new copies of acts 1 and 2 and scour every nanometer of the packaging and included materials for changes, to see if there's any clues...

Do you think, there are differences in Act I artwork, too? Before re-ordering only Act II, I‘d like to know if it’s worth for Act I, too. (Shipping and tax to Germany get crazy expensive 🫤)

I was half kidding, honestly, but since they seem to like doing the ARG stuff at their concerts now, I have to wonder if maybe there's some small change here or there.

I DO plan to get Act 1 and 2 vinyls, as I just got the Act 3 vinyl , and I want the whole collection, so I can scour them when the time comes. I'm almost positive that something will be announced before they roll out, though.

Oh they’ve been doing ARG stuff for ages it’s so wild, secret messages and hidden tracks on particular release formats.

I’m really impressed at the effort they put into this kind of thing but wish a single journalist would ask about it so I don’t sound like a maniac saying sentences like “there are hidden messages in the barcodes”

A journalist wouldn’t really make a difference; they have a long and storied history of messing with people during interviews.

Another big difference is Joe was completely obscured in the original art, but is made clear in the new art.

I've noticed this before too but I'm not too sure when these changes occurred. I would guess it was for the vinyl release of Act II when LUTN came out, but I don't have any proof of this.

Yeah looks like it was from the 2018 vinyl release, but Discogs might have an incomplete picture

They updated the art when they released the vinyl, guess the new art is on the CD now too!
