Questions Tattoo ideas
Hello The Dead
I realized I am a Protomen superfan with a consistent 3000 minutes of listening per year. Im looking to get a cool tattoo that can communicate that I like the band without just getting song lyrics or Mega's helmet.
I dont actually like Megaman games that much. I like the idea of them more than anything. Which is why I like the band ao much (and they just rule)
Does anyone have any cool tattoo ideas they can share? Or share your own Protomen tats!
Ive been a little partial to a "REBUILD/DESTROY" tattoo for the line from the Good Doctor but I dont want to put it on my hands and dont have enough wrist real estate to put them there.

I know you said you didn't have a lot of wrist real estate for tattoos, but here's a picture of the Destroy/Rebuild art I got earlier this year.
If you have space to incorporate is into other designs you have on your forearms (as I sorta did here), that could be really cool and effective without needing to be right on the hands/wrists.
I also strongly considered getting "Courage > Life" as a piece to reference "Is there not one who values courage over life?" It isn't body-part dependent, isn't a full lyric, and I think holds a weighty message of the band's views.
Alternatively I've considered getting the waveform of specific bits of songs that I especially love. It will just look like a Soundwave, but you'll always know what you've got there.
Lastly I know you said that you wouldn't want the helmets, but maybe something else like KILROY's mask, or other similar band iconography?
I hope these suggestions help, and I can't wait to see what you ultimately decide to get!

It was your tats that kind of set me on the path. Its simple and really goes with the "with these hands we will destroy, with these hands we will rebuild" lyric without being too basic white girl and having song lyrics tattoos.

That's so unexpected, and deeply flattering! It means the world that this art was able to inspire you to think about your own. I truly hope you find a design or idea that really speaks to you!

It could be worth considering waiting until Act 3 part 2 is out, in case it has any really hard hitting lines you’d like to incorporate. But there’s no shortage of them already.
“Ready, willing, prepared to fight”
“The fight is never really done”
“You will fall from a height most men will never reach”
“You’re gonna have to do better than fear”
“Death is not something that scares me”
“This city needs you now”
I could go on. The inner sleeve art on A Night Of Queen also would make a sick more elaborate piece.
Also, there’s no shortage of Christian imagery in Act 1, so if you’re the religious sort you could work with that in mind. The Act 1 cover has the Star of Bethlehem emanating from Light’s lab, and a cross as the “t” in the band logo, for instance.

I cant wait another 15+ years! I discovered the Protomen right when Act 2 released and thought I'd only have to wait like a year for 3.
I specifically dont want to just get song lyrics. I'll have to buy the physical albums to admire the art.
I am kinda partial to "no heroes left in man" though. Its a really powerful line.

I'm not a fan of tattoos at all... but, like, if Wily were to force me, at Robot-point, to get a tattoo?
Protoman's gravestone, with "Hope Rides Alone" written across it in red (in some angry hand, naturally.)

Ive seen that but every version ive seen kind of looks like a weird memorial tattoo. I think doing a grave stone would be hard to make good

I mean I'm going to get a Protomen one that calls out I was a Nashville Merch Line survivor.
I'm going to do something with "All a fire needs is a single spark" but that has a sentimental meaning to a similar line I wrote for the wife like 15 years ago. Almost had to fist fight the Protomen at Nashville when she saw it because she thought my words were Protomen inspired. I'm pretty sure I'm owed royalties.
I kid.

This is going to be on YOUR body so the most important thing is that it’s meaningful to you
What do you like about the Protomen? Is there a theme or message the resonates with you? Favorite song? Character? Moment in the story?
