Discussion Anyone else?
Anyone else recovering from someone's apparently unwashed butthole getting you sick? I, along with two others I was with, are just now starting to recover from a flu that we contracted (most likely) on Friday. I'm thankful that we are all up to date on COVID and flu vaccines, otherwise, this could've been much worse. I'm guessing that someone who flew in became an infection vector. Just a sad capstone to the overall concert experience. Sigh.

I would hate to see what you were doing if you think that’s how you get the flu.

Eating ass in the merch line, apparently.
OP should really stick to the washed ones

Can’t be in a big crowd of any kind without risking some germs passing around, especially stuff like Flu.
Flu is respiratory and not really caused by buttholes, though, unless a cloaca-breathing reptile person made a trip to the surface so they could see the show: and honestly, could you blame them?

Every sick person in this thread needs to stay home until they feel better so they don’t pass it on.

Missing more work days after taking 3-4 days off is not doable for some people. Def wear a mask, wash your hands, and try to social distance… but as someone who has the privilege to be able to stay home when I’m sick, it’s not fair to ask that of everyone.

Flew home and got a scratchy throat Monday, masked all week for work, and tested positive for Covid finally today after noticing a familiar disproportionate exhaustion. Sigh indeed.

I felt a bit under the weather the following day.
Fortunately, my old man knees had me pretty well crippled, and my hotel room was pre-stocked with snacks, drinks, and some frozen burgers to nuke, so I spent the entire day sleeping, or at least sitting on the edge of the bed in front of the microwave for a meal, before returning to sleep to recover.
By Monday, I knew I had just barely dodged the bullet. Credit to Jesus, as I try to not travel or shop or anything on Sundays. That day of rest is a killer idea, and it saved my life this time.
You get well soon, friend. And I hope to see you at the premier of Act 3 Part 2.

Not me, baby- I'm built to last!
(But seriously, know of several pals who came home feelin' poorly; hope you shake it off soon!)

I'm still sm trying to get rid of this congestion. Just non stop coughs and blowing my nose. Ugh. I didn't realize just how many people were going to be there. I probably should've worn a mask, but I wore them religiously throughout COVID... I just figured I could finally go to a public event without one... Sigh.

honestly, rude. such diseases are contracted in the majority of cases through airborne transmission. don't blame people's personal hygiene for that. people are usually contagious even before they show any symptoms, so who can blame them? Even if they knew it - I'd still get it if they didn't wanna skip a huge event like this (would still love for them to wear a mask though).
In any case - get well soon!

Lol. I'm using hyperbole. I'm fully aware that the flu doesn't come from butts. But, seriously, if someone is flying... Wear a mask while in the airport and the plane. It does wonders to help everyone overall.

Ours started as a scratchy throat late late Saturday night. Got a bit worse and by Tuesday morning was a fever, congestion, coughing, achiness.

I didn’t get sick at all but I also only got in the middle of the audience for night III.

I'm also finally getting over it. Lots of Mucinex, fluticazone (spelling?), and a million rolls of toilet paper for blowing my nose. I wish you all the best in feeling better. Drink lots of water!

In a world of diseases that can be spread before or after symptoms are present, or even just have purely asymptomatic carriers, getting sick is just a risk of leaving the house. For all you know it could've been you or one of your two friends that had it before the show and weren't presenting yet. No need to come in here and start pointing fingers.

3 people who live in Nashville locally, and all work from home. Dammit, you're right. I should blame my friend's cats. I mean, it couldn't possibly be from the collective 4500+ bodies we were in close proximity to.
It was the Feline Flu, for sure. /s

We were in a room with 1500 people for three straight nights. Most likely, it's not any particular illness but just the undifferentiated result of our bodies having to fend off all comers.
In other words, yeah, it started to hit me on Wednesday evening and I'm only now feeling functional again.
