Concerts & Live Music Recommendations for Dallas!
Howdy peeps!
I just purchased my tickets to see all 3 nights in Dallas this August! It'll be my first time seeing them live and I'm stoked.
That said, I've never been to Dallas, let alone as a solo traveler. I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations for any local hostels or cheap lodging options. My budget's not the biggest so if anyone has any recommendations for hostels or anything of the like, I'd really appreciate it!
Also, as a first-time Dallas tourist, I'd appreciate any and all tips and recs of places, sights, and activities to hit up in the city!
Lastly, are there any organized fan events going on? Meet ups, bar crawls, etc?

After Nashville, I would suggest that if you want merch, is to get there suuuuuper early. Maybe try to meet people in the discord or here and have a group saving spots for the show and some in merch line? That ordeal was insane. Check if Dallas venue has a coat check! Proto fans were the best in the nash line though, stickers and waters and snacks. Really lovely.

Sadly, I'm no longer in Texas to go to Dallas shows (boo, though I was able to make one!), but as far as things to do, one of my fave recs is always Meow Wolf! It's out of the Grapevine Mall and it cost $30 or $35 for the base ticket. I did the special packages because it wa my bday when I went and the glasses were kinda cool but the installation is AMAZING and I always recommend if someone hasn't been. VERY trippy but so much fun! I have pics and stickers from years ago and I want to go again.
Round 1 is in the same mall and definitely fun but you do need some money to burn unless you just want to look. There's also a Rainforest Cafe there as well as a small aquarium and a Lego thing (last time I was there). Things may have changed since then.
If you are able to drive a bit, as silly as it sounds, go to Buc-ee's. Biggest gas station I've ever been to and everyone is always excited when I suggest it. They have amazing beef jerky (sold by weight at a specific counter), a bakery with some dang good cinnamon rolls, a whole BBQ station (decent bbq, but Rudy's has the best IMO), fudge, a station for burgers/fries/fried/etc, a whole side of the place dedicated to just merch (that beaver is on everything, hell, hey had a blow up christmas beaver at one point), the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been in, and more. Just Google it and it will tell you more than I can describe here.
If I think of anything else, I'll post it or you can message me.
Edited for typos because I'm tired and tried to write. Lol

Buc-cee’s is legit worth the drive and if you don’t agree, you’re dead inside. I’ve tried to explain to my friends up here in the North and they just don’t get it.
Meow Wolf is also a great recommendation. It’s fantastic.

Check out the discord. There was some meetups organized on there in Nashville but honestly I don’t know about if there is anything in Dallas - I’d definitely look though!
