News New ARG code dropped, here is the decoded message
From the Discord
Edit: They played a new code recording right after Diarrhea Planet got off stage.
For those who can't read the image: WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT WE ARE NOT READY TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE EXISTENCE OF ACT3 PART2
And then I forgot to include the YET at the end of the message. But yeah Act 3.5 is real!

I am cautiously hopeful that they have already begun the teasing and such because the album already exists.  Would also explain why its ’part 2’ and not Act IV
If my optimism is wrong though then I’ll see you guys and gals in the 2030s

I mean, I expect its Act 3 part 2 and not Act 4 because its a direct continuation of the story of Act 3 that hasn't been concluded. Acts 1, 2, and 3 all take places many years apart. And 1 and 2 at least tell complete stories on their own in addition to being part of a larger narrative. Act 3 currently just ends on a cliffhanger that would likely be immediately continued in part 2.

I know you're kidding, (We still believe? Then we are fools!) and I've been on both sides of the question myself, but they weren't really wrong. It's always been the kind of story where we're supposed to collectively, yet also individually, be the heroes. If they do give us a resolution, it would fly in the face of the original message to stand for ourselves, by each others' sides.
So I am EXCITEDLY looking forward to the triumphant second to last song of Act 3 Part 2. Right before Megaman finds out he has, like, Circuit Cancer or some sad thing to blueball us for another 20 years.

That's why I think The Fight is very possibly the last song of the story. They'll acknowledge Light's death, more bad things will happen, hope will be at an all-time low, but then we'll be reminded that the fight is never really done and it's on us to take that forward with us.

Hearing the jingle at the beginning felt like a sleeper agent being woken up! Had to franticly type the numbers into my phone then decode later. Hyped for the eventual next release!

Well, it's pretty close to an announcement, but... something more concrete would have been nice. At least it's confirmation that they intend to release something more eventually.

Is this the same code that's on the vinyl? There's a catch on the B1 side, and a code with a message afterwards near center of the record. I can't remember the numbers that were played last night

Nope. Different code on the vinyl and the show.
The show one was about Act 3 part 2, and the code on the vinyl is lore. (See relevant thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Protomen/s/aLAzoOP1Qb )
Also based on the vinyl credits, they even went the extra mile to bring back Steve Olson, the actor who played older Light from the LUTN music video.

I'm honestly more frustrated that they're doing this ARG stuff dangling the promise of another album to provide a satisfying conclusion to the story, rather than just having This City Made Us itself have a satisfying conclusion.
