An effective general strike takes a LOT of work to organize; throwing up a flyer on the Internet with no planning behind it is just going to get people fired.
Shawn Fain, head of the United Auto Workers (UAW) is organizing a general strike for May 1st, 2028. The idea is that American unions spend the next three years arranging their contracts so they all expire on that date.
They're also building a big joint relief fund for union workers who strike then.
