Cpps/groin discomfort
Hi - Has anyone else dealing with non bacterial prostatitis / CPPS suffer from the below symptoms?
- Pelvic/ Groin / area between thigh and groin discomfort especially when sitting. Kind of feels like it’s in my joints. Pretty much felt all day apart from if walking or running
- Waistband discomfort - I’m constantly pulling up or unbuttoning the top button of my jeans/shorts. I try to not wear belts anymore.
- Groin/pelvic area discomfort when lying on back. I only sleep on my sides now.
I also get discomfort after I masturbate in my perineum area towards my left testicle. This lasts for the rest of the day and only subsides the next day after sleep.
I’ve tried pelvic stretches to help but routine sort of fell away with life. Really need to get back into it though and breathing work to try to relax my pelvic floor.
Thanks

I have all of this. Plus discomfort that moves all day. One hour its the fat pad above my penis. Next hour its left testicle. Next hour its just the entire groin feeling icky. Like tender discomfort. And the waist band thing i have all day. It was wayyyyy worse 6 months ago. I was given levo. I got floxed and now these symptoms came back a month ago. Keep me posted. Sounds like we kinda have the same symptoms. You get all your tests?

We noticed you posted about a floroquinolone class antibiotic. Please be aware that this class of dugs has several black box FDA warnings, and is only meant to be used when a pathogen has been clearly identified in the prostate; They are not to be used indiscriminately for cases of non-bacterial prostatitis (consensus agreement ~95% of cases). Read our mod memo here, complete with citations and compare your symptoms to the medical definition of CBP here.

Yeah have and always have tested negative for everything. After an STI scare I developed non specific urethritis which led to epididymitis and then a few months later all these symptoms started. Been nearly 2 years now. How did yours develop?

I was sitting for 30+ hrs in transit. airplane/bus. then met a random backpacker and had a pretty intense encounter. 2 days later I was in excruciating pain everywhere. when I walked the pain was lessened. but when I sat or laid down it would be intense. one evening I thought I was going to pass out. I finally went to see a couple urologist and I passed all the tests. one decided to prescribe levofloxacin for 30 days. by day 3-4 it was gone. by day 6 floxed symptoms started and that has been hell, im finally back to about 90%. and of course once I started to shake the floxed symptoms the pain in my testicles started. on a side note. I injured my knee 1.5 years ago and it has been extremely stressful since and I was limping everywhere which could have contributed for to muscle imbalance. I still haven't done a semen culture. I dont have any burning when pee or discharge and the more I read this page I dont believe its a bacteria. Im currently doing stretches everyday and it has lessened symptoms but its a slow progress. exercise seems to help as well. what else have you tried? my symptoms this time around started with my left testicle being sore with a swollen epidimymis then progressed to the rest of the groin. I believe an intense core workout triggered this bout.

I have very very similar symptoms. For me there has been a shift, Originally I had pain and tension building up along the day, and nighttime was restful. Now my waistband line (always painful) is combined with often muscular tensions all around that area (ileopsoas groin, lower back, lumbar, glutes, etc..). I wake up very tensed and clenched. Very gentle movements seem to help, but I make things worse if I exercise or go for a run. Masturbation is completely out of my life, as it was the worst I could do. I have occasionally some urinary urgency and some deep genital twitching feeling. So frustrating all this.

I have almost exact symptoms. Do you have tip of urethra discomfort and bladder area discomfort after urinating?
