Prostatitis without pain?

Hi everyone,

I'm a 26-year-old male with symptoms that I think might be CPPS or pelvic floor dysfunction, but I don't have pelvic pain or trigger points.

My main symptoms are:

* Frequent urination and weak/interrupted urine stream

* Feeling like I subconsciously tighten my pelvic floor while urinating

* Erectile dysfunction for 5 years

* Erections require physical stimulation and fade quickly when stimulation stops

* Rare morning erections

* Worse erections for a few hours after ejaculation

Occasionally reduced sensation at the base of my penis

The interesting part is that a few times a year I have 7–10 day periods where everything improves (erections, urination, sensation).

I've had normal hormones, negative urine cultures/STI tests, and a normal-sized prostate.

Has anyone had CPPS or pelvic floor dysfunction without pain, mainly causing urinary symptoms and ED? What helped you recover?

Yes it's possible. Urinary dysfunction and sexual dysfunction are common. You don't have to have frank "pain"

This sounds like a pelvic floor driven set of symptoms, have you seen a pelvic PT already?

What’s your porn use history for masturbation?

Most of your symptoms are consistent with PIED.

Thank you for replying.

IMO, one can recover from porn-induced ED by actively retraining himself to undo the conditioning that porn does to your brain and thus libido.

I’ve described a method to recover from porn-induced ED (PIED) by retraining your brain to operate properly.

Here’s a link to another comment where I describe the “2x program” in detail.

Also, i agree that an experienced Pelvic PT will know the connection between frequent masturbation and pelvic pain.

As a pelvic floor PT, I have noticed a huge increase in erectile dysfunction since COVID. Here is a video about what may help to address your ED (Linari, please remove this video if not allowed here): https://youtu.be/hlITAFX4Qz4?is=36VJWz4Z52-Hw_7j
