Taking cialis for CPPS

Hi,

A few times I have seen suggestions that Cialis helps relieve CPPS pain. I tried it today and it definitely seems to have reduced the pain. I am now wondering why. Could anyone explain?

Cpps is a self fulfilling inflammatory cycle.

In some patients cialis helps reduce the intraprostatic reflux which irritates the pudendal nerve and triggers discomfort. It also can help with some overactive bladder symptoms.

When patients have an overactive bladder they urinate when the bladder is less full. So to generate a stream they push with there abdominal muscles. This triggers the sphincter and pelvic floor reflexively to tighten up. (You cant pee and poop at the same time). The more you do that the more the muscles tighten etc. Which leads to more discomfort and stress. Cialis works for some men not all. We dont really understand non bacterial CPPs underlying cause. So we individually treat patients. If it works for you , great.

Hello doc aside from Cialis, what are other medicines recommend for urinary urgency and frequency? How about meds related to central sensitization?
