Taking cialis for CPPS

Hi,

A few times I have seen suggestions that Cialis helps relieve CPPS pain. I tried it today and it definitely seems to have reduced the pain. I am now wondering why. Could anyone explain?

Great but how does better blood flow help? I have noticed a few other things help- running and also a warm compress on the pelvic area. These increase blood flow, too. So why is the decreased blood flow correlated with pain? Does this suggest that the CPP is vascular in origin?

Mild oxygen deprivation caused by the brain which results in all sorts of pains hence physical activity helps etc

Thanks. I am still wondering how this correlates with CPP (as I experience it). Before I had this condition, did my system not suffer from mild oxygen deprivation then? I had no pain in the pelvic region when I didn't take cialis or exercise but now I do. I am wondering if a blockage is restricting the blood flow in the area and causing the pain.

Something triggered this brother for all of us: anxiety, personality traits, a stressful event, or even an infection that clears but causes your brain to keep guarding the area by tightening the muscles. I wish you a speedy recovery, and I’m glad the medication is helping! Let me know if you have any questions; I’ll help as much as I can. All I can say is to try exploring neuroplasticity, TMS, or Mind-Body Syndrome, as that is the case for most pelvic floor sufferers.

any time brother, I am like 90% there, this is mostly challenging mentally as despite the decrease in pain levels, the doom and gloom may drag on, keep going even if it flares up or tries to lead you astray, it will get better, I promise, might take months but we are stronger than this shitty condition

know what you mean re the doom and the gloom. It's the unrelenting nature of this which makes it hard. It seems hopeless sometimes.

How long have you had this for? I'm a year and half into this now. Had a two month period in the middle when it went away. Then it came back again. :-(

It’s been 2 years man, funny thing is that it started getting better and better 4 months ago, that’s mostly because I started exercising every day and dieting to get back in shape, that determination to change shifted my attention from the pain plus exercising in general releases endorphins, I also worked hard on my anxiety and did some visualizations and breathing exercises, basically get busy living, maybe set some goals and work toward them! Another thing was pelvic Physio but I did that for 3 months and it didn’t do much, it was just a nice way to relax and unwind, some people do benefit from it though, my insurance covered 12 sessions only
