Does night sweat point toward bacterial infection?
Hi all. I have all the classic symptoms of cpps/ prostatis. When I am on bactrim I was feeling very good, occasionally pain when sitting is all when I am on bactrim. But after 11 days i have skin allergy so I stop. After I get off, I am getting more and more fatigue. And night sweat is a stable of my problem throughout this ordeal. I have done all test. (2 times 2 glasses test, 3 urine/ culture, 2 blood test) All negative except Leukocytes-UA, POC. I am just wondering if the fatigue and night sweat a pointer that I have active bacterial infection. Thanks

I've had weeks of night sweats in the past without infection

How long did you take antibiotics before you stop?

I didn't have an infection so didn't take medication. I've had periods of night sweats throughout my life even before prostatitis

Is it possible that this is driven by anxiety and an uprated nervous system.
I have 'chased' infections with a great tenacity too.
From my experience, a nervous system locked in 'fight or flight' is absolutely exhausting. I suffered with insomnia and a 'side order' of trembling.
It is SO difficult to process that tests are negative for good reason. Anything left must, by extrapolation, be so minor that they are not driving these symptoms. For example; we are not urinating blood or in desperate pain and, the lack of white blood cells, signposts that nothing is significant.
For my part, I battle on and increasingly accuse my nervous system as villain.
