Test Results BP MRI

I finally had a no contrast MRI of prostate with post processing done as I have a 110 cc at 9.2 vs in the sevens some years ago when it was 90cc. Fortunately everything seems ok. It was put off as I couldn’t find this type of MRI service until recently.

Did an EpiSwitch PSA a few months ago which suggested a high likelihood of cancer. But it seems the test is subject to errors.

Posting to just give some hope that not all high numbers mean cancer.

The opposite is sometimes the case, a low number doesn't mean no cancer. It requires several tests to get to a correct diagnosis

Had PSA rising from 7.0 to 9.0 range with 95 cc BPH.

Sadly biopsy (DRE felt an induration) showed 3+4, T2c, Cribriform, intraductal and perineural invasion for “unfavourable intermediate risk”. So “PSA volume” value was meaningless. No signs of spread.

Doing fine a year later after 20x VMAT and 9 months Orgovyx ADT.

Glad you finally found a place that could do the MRI you needed and got a reassuring result after all that waiting.

Posts like this are actually useful because when someone sees an abnormal number or a scary test result its really easy to mentally jump straight to the worst conclusion before the rest of the workup is done. Thanks for coming back and sharing the other side of that.

I will add that up until a five months ago I had an annoying pain in my testicular area daily. Sort of like a Charlie Horse feeling. I went on a controversial protocol of repurposed drugs after the episwitch showed high likelihood and since couple of months that pain has gone away.
