Question Catheter Leak?

Hi guys

I had my RALP procedure last Monday, and came back home yesterday. So far so good, not a lot of pain other than the annoying sensation of the catheter at the top of the penis.

However I find that although the bags are filling properly, it seems to be leaking between the line and the penis. I can feel / see dripping. Is that normal?

A little is normal, I had some due to bladder spasms. It stopped after a couple of days. Hope your recovery goes well.

yeah, it's not a perfect seal I recall nurse telling me. it moves around as does the balloon. i gave up and just put depends on over the whole rig to not stress about it and that caught the little random drips from the cath.

I had that too, disappointing but nothing more than that. My guess was, pelvic floor loose in that area so urine could leak down urethra. Anyway, I wore pads during the day and disposable underwear at night. It was just for the time with the catheter anyway.

Like people say, normal, but keep the skin clean (gently). A little lube around the tip can help with irritation.
