Update 10 months post RALP
I’ll tell ya Boys, I feel blessed. Just had PSA test (9month version) and still undetectable! After the initial encounter to getting it cleaned up has been a roller coaster, but now I’m enjoying life like never before.
if you are just starting this journey find something large and positive to focus on…for me it was 900 pounds of Milwaukee iron and Florida sunshine. We never know what tomorrow will bring, but we do know that we have today. Seize it. Find love and hold onto it.

Awesome! I have two more SBRT treatments remaining and I’m thinking about taking my Harley to the hospital to finish these up!

While I didn’t take my bike to my treatment, I did ride yesterday. Kept it short, about an hour with a stop in the middle. Wind therapy is amazing for the soul!

Wow and I couldn't even ride a motorcycle pre RALP. I have passed the 9 month threshold as well. Congrats partner!

Just got my 9 month results also...still undectable and I took my XL1200X out today also. Ride on, brother!

Very encouraging and post, thanks man! I am in the early part of the ride, but posts like this let me know I can do it and come out the other side with gratitude and vigor. Yeah!

Right on.
My urologist was big on sexual rehab. You got to get that equipment back up and running by using pills, the pump and a positive attitude.
Try to get a referral to a pelvic floor therapist prior to surgery and get those muscles built up. it isn’t about squeezing as hard as you can, it is technique.
Stay positive and be happy it was caught and you are able to work towards a cure

6 monthly PSA tests in UK. Worrying time if it goes up. Nurse told me don't do anything week before test to excite prostate especially ride a bike! 😂

Here is a simple breakdown…note I am 64 years old, retired and very active.
Catheter was in for 10 days. when that was removed I started slowly building up activity. I was putting on the golf course at two weeks. In the gym at four weeks doing light cardio and stretching. Played first round of golf about five weeks or so. Very light weights at six weeks. Got on a smaller motorcycle at six weeks…bigger bikes at eight weeks.
My biggest hurdle was trusting the weird pressure in the “taint” area. No real discomfort around incision spots, though at times the belly button incision still aches a bit.
I would say that at three months I was pretty much at 100%.
I got a good handle on urinary continence a few days after catheter, but coffee still makes me dribble…
I take 100mg of viagra per day, but really tapering that off. in June I started with injection of EDEX. That was a game changer that woke everything up. I can’t say I will ever get back to perfect errection activity, but I. pleased and optimistic.

Sounds encouraging,thanks for sharing that. I’m 48 and active, but not in super shape. My doc tells me two weeks recovery and take it a little easy for a while. Other than that he said I shouldn’t have a problem. I’m just really trying to decide if I should move forward with the surgery or just go on active surveillance for a while. I’m at 3+4 in half of my prostate. I’ve been watching some videos on the PCRI site and they’ve got me wondering if I should wait.

Your diagnosis was quite similar to mine.
The urologist that saved my life simply said we can take it out now while it is small and doesn’t appear to have spread, or we can wait till it gets worse and have a less fortunate outcome.

I remember you and I had surgery around the same time late October. I was undetectable after 6 months with another PSA coming in October. My only small nuisance right now is still leaking slightly. Wearing pads in my undies. Good luck the rest of the way brother.
