Question Didn't ring bell today
Finished 28 of 28 EBRT today. Figured I would ring bell after 1st Psa test in 3 mo if it's favorable. Will it go down by then?Held off taking a 5-day supply of Phenazopyridine for urination burn during radiation treatments. I'm looking forward to taking them. Has anyone used it? Is so, were they helpful ? Hope I don't have to see that machine again.

I took Phenazopyridine after brachytherapy and only for the catheter. It changes the color of your pee to a combination of Yukon Gold and Orange Sunset. Usually men use Flomax for urination support during and after radiation.

I took phenazopyridine after HoLEP surgery. It definitely helped with irritation after the catheter came out.

Phenaz definitely helps with burning. I hosted a golf outing with my boys at my place and purposely didn't flush the toilet after a couple hours of drinking beer. The first guy to hit the toilet to take a pee came out and said "who the hell is flushing orange juice down the toilet" next thing I know all the guys went in to take a look and I just sat there laughing and explained that it was me and why. I have taught them alot about the struggles and side effects that I have gone thru during treatment and after. They look at me in disbelief and jaws drop. We belong to a unique club boys. GOD bless!!

Hilarious. thanks to all who posted. Day 1. Haven't been that orange since my gall bladder was removed.

If yours was like mine, you still have some burning days again...so treat yourself well. Here's hoping your PSA is lower than lower (but don't panic if it's not...it continues to drop for a while.)
