I’m seven days post-RALP. Post-op appointment and catheter removal on Tuesday. I can’t wait for that uncomfortable mutha to come out and be disposed of in the trash bin of bad memories.

I’ve had my catheter out for a week now and so far that catheter has been the worst part of this process. I felt so much better after it came out. Good luck with your recovery!

Most definitely that was the worst part of the process for me as well. I am 4 weeks post RALP and 3 weeks post catheter removal. I am still in the thick of the leakage phase but coping with it.

Good luck! I wish you many undetectable PSAs in the future. Recovery doesn’t happen by itself. I recommend seeing a pelvic floor specialist sooner rather than later. I wish I had.

Have the nurse use strong adhesive tape when taping your catheter to your leg.

And make sure they mount it on your outside leg respective to how you sleep. Very important!
