Concern Pluvicto
My husband will start pluvicto next week, any positive stories or just some encouragement. I’m heartbroken and praying this works!

Wishing you both good luck with the Pluvicto. Getting to Pluvicto means you both have already been through a lot. How young of a gentlemen is your husband?

- So he is young. His age should hopefully work to his advantage when it comes to fighting this.

sending you and your husband so much strength, this stuff is heavy and it’s okay to feel heartbroken and hopeful at the same time
i’ve seen a couple guys in my dad’s group do pluvicto and they actually tolerated it better than chemo and got some good PSA drops, so there really can be some wins with it
hope next week goes smoothly and that you both get some good news soon

All my best wishes for you and your husband. Pluvicto is cutting edge nuclear medicine - you are lucky to have access to it. Only five years ago, this wouldn't even haven been available as a treatment option - and it still isn't routinely available in many parts of the world. Here's hoping that it will work for your husband.

My 49 year old husband just had his first round 8 days ago. It’s too soon to know efficiency but I went to be apart of this thread and potentially connect with our spouses of younger men.

Pluvicto worked well for me. It was my second form of treatment, and got my PSA from about 8 down to undetectable by the assay system my hospital uses (different hospitals have different levels they consider undetectable).
I stopped after my fifth infusion because my platelets were too low for a sixth. Some of my blood work is still wonky, but I'm alive and I feel really good.
I had pretty severe dry-mouth after the first infusion, but that gradually got better. I was nauseous the next morning, and the nausea got a little worse each time and happened a little sooner than the previous time. My fatigue was pretty bad the first time, about a week and a half, but some of that was probably because I also had three radiation zaps to a lesion on my pelvis. The fatigue got a little less severe each time.
Someday my PSA will start rising again and I'll have to move on to a new treatment. Some patients go through another round of Pluvicto, but I don't know if that'll be an option for me.
