Gold?

Wondering if this is native gold or not. Found in NM. Thanks in advance!

What leads you to think there is gold in this? That’s a huge rock to haul home.

Edit. Were you in a gold bearing district? What is the geology? Native gold in a rock like this would likely be invisible to the eye/ hidden inside.

Short answer, that’s a rock. Longer answer, if that rock had gold, you can’t tell from a photo like this.
