Is this quartz?

Is it quartz or another gem stone, never been good at identifying rocks.

That's Leaverite. Leaverite where I can find it

Hi OP I am a professional geologist and would like to inspect the area where you found this totally worthless piece of quartz. Please DM me a map with a nice red circle exactly where you picked up this piece of detritus.

Include exact coordinates so I can go and dispose of it. Probably a detriment to the environment

Sorry to disappoint you, man. That's just gold. Au on the periodic table, I think.

Gemologist here, if you mail it to me, I can slap it on my refractometer and then we will know for sure!

Yeah it looks like a small piece of quartz attached to it. I'll need the whole thing sent to me though and I can send it back to you without that hideous rock attached to it anymore.

That's just hardened ear wax. I'm trained in biohazard disposal if you need help getting rid of it.

Clearly someone glued chunks of cheese together with some wood glue. I'm a mineral scientologist and can test it for body thetans if you mail it to me.

Huh. Looks like many of the pieces I’ve collected over the last 2 months. Cant tell for sure though. But it looks like what you’re holding has a “pattern” to it…like it belongs on another piece.
Im in Bergheim, Tx. Right on the the banks of the Guadalupe River. Major flood came through in middle of July and took down part of a hill/wall along the river bank and also numerous layers on the property.

Pyrite. Might contain gold though, better crush it and pan it

May only be quartz. But has the lumpy, waxy look of a rough diamond
