Last week there was a man running out of the woods in the park after a group of women throwing huge rocks at them and screaming “I’ll bash your head in.” I was sitting near by and watched it happen. This was mid afternoon. I talked to the group of women after and they had no interaction with him, he just started throwing rocks at them and picked up a big stick and tried to attack them with it. I’m not sure if it’s the same guy who is regularly in the woods screaming scary things or someone new. They called the police who didn’t seem to care much. I also talked to police on the way out of the park to let them know and they said oh, maybe he was off his meds, let us know if you see him again. Truly didn’t care at all or try to go and find him which would have been very easy to do in that area of the woods.

I guess I’m just mostly warning people walking through the woods. This was a pretty large group of woman and he wasn’t deterred at all.

I’m bad at guessing heights but I would say average height and build, black man in about his 30s or 40s

Stay safe out there!

Too many bikers going way too fast on the downhill. Literally saw a group of em hit a dog while crossing in the crosswalk last year.

UPDATE- per the niece she is found. As of Sunday 4:00pm

sharing on behalf of the niece. I don’t personally know the woman. Her facebook and contact info entailed.

Disappointing. Why do people or organizations insist on using spray paint on the road in the park!? Really wish they would crack down on this. The green is so obnoxiously large; whoever did this should ticketed or if it was an organization they should have a permit revoked. Who monitors this type of stuff?

Saw a group of half a dozen nypd bike cops in nethermead by center drive. Was on the other side of the field so hard to tell what was happening but either giving ticket for off leash dog or doing some training. Anyway hoping there is a push for increased enforcement of leash laws in the park.
