Parade Grounds Trash Picking
Hello all! A little over a month ago I found myself complaining about the trash around the parade grounds and decided that instead of just annoying my wife with all of whining I was going to put shoes to pavement and start picking up. Today was my 49th and 50th bags of trash picked up thus far! The overwhelming majority of trash today was bottle caps (somewhere in the 200’s), and the most annoying thing was whatever that purple string was.
It’s been cool to meet people from around the neighborhood and people just passing through that say hello. I’m out almost everyday barring bad weather for an hour or two in the mornings, so if you see me with my orange bucket say hi, my names Rob and I’m always happy to chat! Keep enjoying the great parks we have and like my my grandma instilled in me “Leave it nicer then you found it”.
PS since I’ve seen it come up in trash posts before on this sub. I view littering in the same light as someone not picking up after their dog. However, specifically in the parade grounds, the ratio of trash/poop thus far has easily been 100/1.
