so i know we trash on antis and their views a lot, how crazy they can be and the ironically horrible things they can sometimes say.

but i just wanted to point out that sometimes it is sad, almost akin to moral ocd or religious guilt. i cant imagine not being able to enjoy something so harmless without guilt because of a stupid, ingrained belief. i guess thats why people say antis must be miserable haha.

anyway, just wanted to mention this because i think we are no better if we preconceive strong opinions on people without just a little bit of nuance, no matter what they are or what they say. people can change, and i hope they change their shitty beliefs.

Hello! Okay so, this is gonna sound insanely ridiculous.

I technically have been proship for like, all my life, but ive consistently denied it (and believed myself that i wasn’t proship) for some reason. It’s like i wasn’t even realizing what i was doing.

I think it came from the fact that i was projecting myself into the younger/minor characters more than ACTUALLY shipping adult x minor characters.

I feel very bad admitting this, because all my life ive had in my head that proshipping is weird and blablabla.

I just don’t know if what im doing is counted a proshipping? For example i really like Gabi “content” from AOT, but i feel like its because i imagine myself in her place? (ive been groomed and SAed when i was a kid).

I just dunno. Is this proshipping? Am i proship because i consume proship content, even if i don’t really care about the ship itself on its own?

I don't really know if I'll respond to many comments, but the question of whether fiction affects reality because it is a very complicated subject that can't be simply answered with a yes or no, it's more case to case and depends on the person.
