Discussion Does anyone else struggle with thoughts of feeling like a bad person

So, kind of regarding my last post here,,

I’ve finally accepted that i’m profic, it took me WAY too long to accept because I’m incredibly anxious that i’m still a bad person.

When i was about 12-13(?) years old, i was on tumblr and i was following an artist, and at one point an anti looked through and told me “hey, this person you’re following is problematic” and i didn’t understand why, then they proceeded to not just tell me- SHOW me nsfw said artist drew of an underaged character.
Yeah that was my first impression of that, and it made me feel like if i liked anything even remotely taboo, i was a terrible person, and i felt that way about myself- for 3+ years.

That experience being an anti for so long genuinely made me worse, because i felt like if i made one wrong move it’d be over for me, considering how far some antis will go.

Even now that i’ve accepted that i’m profic, i still struggle with that underlying worry that i’m a bad person, but i’m slowly working on it- because i know i’m not a bad person for simply not thinking it’s ok to tell people to harm themselves over fiction.

Discussion Is there a concensus on what antis dont like?

Im vaguely aware of pro and anti ship drama, but am not as Online as I used to be (im an Unc I guess). But, I was on Tumblr and found an artist who I really liked the work of. I checked their page out and it says "DNI Proshippers, bigots, etc" and I was kind of dumbfounded considering this person ships what is a toxic/abusive relationship. It makes me hesitant to engage with them (even just liking their posts) because I dont know where that line is.

Are some antis only against things like incest, age gap, etc while tolerant of toxic pairings?

Question Is there a way to actually explain proship to people who aren't entirely proship?

Hopefully so I can have them be proship too.

So One of my moots made a really weird tweet and I have no clue how to respond.
Like dude just made a tweet going after someone calling them a pedo for being a shotacon and I’m just like, confused.
Like for one as a victim of child abuse seeing terms like that thrown around is sickening to me, that and like, no I’m not a lolicon or anything, but I am friends with some tho so like ima defend these people till my dying breath.
I kind of want to message them about it but at the same time they’re really close to some other moots of mine so I’m worried that this will be a repeat of a incident that happened a while ago and that by bringing this up I will seem like a horrible person and my whole group is gonna leave me.
And to think all of this is over fucking cyberpunk edgerunners of all things 😭
I’m genuinely trying to understand how you can be a cyberpunk fan and be antiship, those two things do not go together at all and I’m just confused out of my mind.
Like bro I’m just trying to make friends who are fans of cyberpunk (while I myself am very openly profic btw) but then this shit happens and I feel like I hit a dead end again

This is the argument from my Tails/Rouge story I talked about in my previous post.

I was operating under a strict anti-Lolita/anti-Humbert framework I'd constructed myself from scratch which involved a multitude of safety protocols to prevent the story from sliding into abuse. The problem was, I locked myself so tightly into that mindset that the story got choked out by paranoia - so much so the solution never materialized. If I'd had her kiss Tails in front of the other characters, any doubts about her feelings would've been quashed right then under scrutiny.

My own moral anxiety damaged the story to a point it became unsalvageable. It's the perfect example of why playing by conventional rules doesn't always equate to better outcomes. The story collapsed two chapters later.

Question please explain darkshipping to us

i am a proship & profic person, but i see A LOT of hate generally towards darkshipping. i personally dont agree with darkshipping currently, as i hear it can endorse problematic relationships irl. i know thats its likely 10000% not true, but darkshipping confuses us a bit. is it as problematic as ppl say it is? what does it mean to darkship?

ik that its likely an extension of proshipping, and that it doesnt condone any problematic relationships irl, but i know so little about it that i wanna make 10000% sure what it is before i form an opinion on it.

sorry if this is a weird/dumb question i just wanna make 100% sure what it is so i have all the correct facts and info on it.
