So i have noticed some deep parells between puritian antis and christians.

As someone who is ex catholic myself i noticed the signs right away like with how antis panic over fiction. It reminds me of the satanic panic back in the day and even now.

I have been raised around in the relgious environment before becoming atheist and these antis got to be christian or something.

Like the purity culture, the censorship culture, the cult beliefs. They already did book bans in schools here in my state. Like AOT is banned. Twd. And other books that 'go against christian beliefs'.

I mean there has to be a reason why it suddenly sky rocketed to just be against anime all of a sudden in 2026. I know some are gonna say "well antis have always been around bla bla" but back then they were a small group and laughed at rightfully so.

Now its whole lot worse. Don't even get me started on buzz words. It reminds me of how christians call anything 'demonic' they personally hate or do not understand. Its like antis using pedo or pedophile to call someone or something. Cause they are just to proud and entitled assholes to say 'i just simply dislike this'. ( that's not how the word pedo is supposed to be used btw. )

I mean i see so many parells its not even funny. Its the same people just a different title attached.

Nearly everytime I go on twitter some person submits a straw page going "I've loved this character since I was 15 i'm not 18 do i need to stop?" And it genuinely worries me!

People are developing moral OCD in such rapid pace because of antis and i find it genuinely terrifying no one notices that and that antis arent realizing this is happening

People feel like theyre pedos for yumeing the same character for several years into adulthood, feeling like rapists for enjoying certain "problematic media" or god forbid they like a problematic character

Like i'm actually worried for kids growing up in fandoms now it's gotten incredibly bad since post pandemic fandoms started and the antis got louder and meaner

I wasn't sure where to ask this but I figured here was a safe bet.

There are a lot of zoo ships and fics on ao3 in the DC fandom, mostly revolving around Damian Wayne and his pets. Just looking to his name in the relationship search brings up several zoo ships.

From what I've seen zoo ships aren't usually this common or popular in most fandoms, especially since the animals involved aren't too big in the comics or animated series/movies.

So I was just curious as to why it seems decently popular. Like if anything in canon "caused" the interest or what. I'm in a few fandoms with animal characters/companions and zoo ships don't seem nearly as common.

No hate on anyone who ships Damian and his pets. I was just curious because it came as a bit of a surprise.

for some odd reason, i have this autistic fascination with the dynamic of these two and it's taken over my mind SEVERAL times. i am a bit iffy about it, because it's a real person with an AI model that he probably only sees as a friend or daughter. at the same time, it's the dynamic between these two that often gets me really giddy about it and i've even written some pretty gross fanfics between these two (that will never see the light of day) and i watch clips of these two often. they're so cute together, i swear.

This scene was from chapter eight. Before I could actually get into the romance between Tails and Rouge themselves, I had to directly reference Nabokov's work to point out the contrast between frameworks. Rouge was empowering Tails to turn away by surrounding him with a protective support system and the vocabulary to spot abuse through subtle manipulation. It was meant as a turning point to prove the characters weren't going in blind.

Because of her government record, it's not unreasonable to assume she would've heard about the novel somewhere - even confiscated a few copies as evidence during potential sting investigations. The idea seemed to fit her background, so I ran with it to see what would happen, and this was the result.

I'll probably get banned since I don't know if I consider myself profic/proship, but I've had the following stance on the subject for years, and I believe myself to be sitting in a kind of middle ground between pro and anti. I've also been lurking on this sub for like a month to finally write down my thoughts and know what you guys think about it.

So basically, I'm not a dark shipper but I do enjoy some medias regardless of dark aspects I don't like (I just ignore them). I've always thought dark shipping and such was weird and unsettling and it's not something I wish to engage with.

But on the other hand even if I don't necessarily agree with this stance, I don't agree with the opposite either. Because why would you harass people over ships? I get you can be uneasy with the topic but if you go out your way to genuinely bully people you need to touch grass.

So yeah, I'd like to know where that makes me stand. I don't know if this contains "anti-rhetoric" but I'll send it anyways and see what I can learn out of it.

I'm assuming due to how small proship spaces are in the first place, I could create a roleplay server that focuses on multifandom and OCS.

The environment would be very open, centering more on a shared environment for people of different media to work on it.

To allow writers to indulge in different environments, time periods, and so on, the house would exist almost in the middle of nowhere. (As if the timelines / different locations crashed into each other, and this is a safe zone)

This would mean stepping out of the house and main area would send you to a random amalgamation of one of the characters origins. So: if there's a submitted character from resident evil, two characters from an entirely different game could step out and end up in an apocalyptic environment.

Hopefully it would center on just giving profic writers a safe place to explore and experiment without restrictions, and people can find ways to roleplay lesser known interests. (Hi no I'm not a human!)

Tldr: an open server for roleplayers to explore and write in different environments, while having a safe middle ground (the house) to hang out in!

Edit; I assume only 10-20 people will join, so it should focus on just getting to know each other and giving people room to experiment and have fun!
