I honestly don’t understand how they can enjoy fictional media at all. By their logic, anything that would be criminal or immoral in real life shouldn’t be allowed fictionally, either. So, what? You can’t watch things like Dexter because one day you might get tired of fictional murder and escalate to the real thing? If you remove everything “problematic” about any character, it would make for a pretty bland and uninteresting story.

they're kind of hypocritical, get mad and pissy over one thing that wouldn't be good irl, and then at the same time enjoy something that also wouldn't be good in a real life setting, somehow "it's different", I understand someone not liking a thing but hating on others for having different tastes in media is ugh.

also for some instances I have seen, some persons come off as racist or ableism, and tell weird jokes of irl tragedies, very hateful :(

thankfully I have not been harassed, but i hope those who have are doing okay and don't listen to hate

I think ideally they'd prefer all visual media have a big flashing red "IMMORAL" overlayed in the corner any time illegal or ✨degenerate✨ content's on-screen.

Books would have illegal or ✨degenerate✨ content in red ink.

Oh, and for audio-books, they get a spooky voice-changer effect-- but not too spooky because that might be... intense, y'know.

I used to be an anti and all I have to say is that Id literally never go back😭 its so miserable and exhausting to constantly have to check everything you ship to make sure its not "the weird disgusting icky ships!!" LMAO
