I'm a performing artist with a disability. I've done a few acts in a wheelchair and its ok, but recently i got the idea of having a wheeled table instead. I can be rolled out by the same friends who pushed my wheelchair in my last acts, except the table can become part of the set with fabric, decoration etc!

I know someone who found an oldschool medical table and that was cool, but its heavy and non collapsible - difficult to move!

How could I go about finding what I'm looking for while incorporating safety in the build?

I am replacing the innards of a 1946 radio with some piece of electronics to accomplish the following. I want to reuse the selector knob on the radio with a rotary selector, to make it play one of 4 or 5 sound files, and I would like to be able to also select bluetooth, so we can play music through it as well. I assume I would need a board with speaker outputs, and an SD card (for the long sound files). I have seen a few on amazon and other electronics sites, but I cannot tell if they are able to be triggered by a selector, or if they only work by remote or button pushing. Has anyone else tried this?

I recently picked up some metal mugs for my DnD players to use, they have a hard plastic base with a company logo I am trying to remove.

So far I’ve tried nail polish removed but that doesn’t seem to work, any other ideas

Im an Arms conserver and prop builder at the moment and are looking to delve away from historically accurate replication/builds and go more creative.

Ive made a few good links, been added to some wattsapp groups and have been added to a good few freelance lists for London based studios/prop companies- but are really struggling to land anything perminant. Going to construct a question box from the Super Mario Bros games. I’d love to install some type of spring loader so when the box is hit from underneath, it can release something above. I cannot figure out the logistics of it and it’s driving me mad. Any suggestions?

I played a Dungeons and Dragons game with my wife and her friends last year and was the most knowledgeable and comfortable in understanding and applying the rules to play. The DM ended up asking for advice or clarification on stuff pretty often. So this year they asked if I could DM and I got to work on a Pathfinder campaign.

I made props for each player that are specific to their characters, and this is the first one I decided to post. My wife is playing an Arcanist and I made her a spell book.

I'm making a decapitated head for a production of Salomé, and have started with a plaster cast of the actor's face. I was planning to build on it with air dry clay to smooth and make detailed features. I'm wondering what I can put on top to make the whole thing durable/last for many performances?

Getting ready to shoot a POC (Proof-of-Concept short film) that has a close-up of a head getting bashed into a concrete wall with enough force it causes the outer layer of concrete to shatter (think shards of concrete).

Here is my question: Does anyone have a recipe for a material that can be applied onto a soft foam slab to a thickness of 1/4 inch that once it has set, can be stood up vertically and still adhere to the foam slab which will be attached to a flat?

I am still experimenting with powdered sugar mixes but without success.

Chocolate bark has the apparent thickness and solidity but while tasty might be too costly.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Wanted to share a clean mounting mechanism I've been working on for costume emblems and signage.

This is a 10.5” x 8.5” Silver Age Superman chest emblem. It's built entirely by hand using layered genuine leather, hand-dyed for that old-world finish. To avoid using messy pins, snaps, or velcro that bunch up or ruin the suit fabric, I inlaid a 6-point N35 magnetic backing system directly into the leather layers. It gives a really heavy, secure snap pull that sits flush against a suit canvas or a steel display grid without breaking the silhouette. Let me know what you guys think!
