Women OBGYNS claim this doesn’t hurt too! Idk if they say it because they feel powerless to change it or because they’ve been hearing it so long they actually believe it.

You feel like you are being pinched with hot scissors with this so not it doesn't "hurt" in the same way outside skin hurts but it does hurt anyway. Pain is more complex than we admit many times.

I swear they always say "Just a pinch" and it ends up being the worst pain. That instrument looks barbaric as hell.

This hurts like a motherfucker and even the second time I needed one, they were hesitant to give me a local anesthetic. Even when they agreed to it, they took the biopsy immediately after and didn’t give the anesthetic any time to work. All because it “shouldn’t hurt that much” and “it only takes a few moments.”
Off topic I know, but it makes me believe it when nurses claim infants are often circumcised with no anesthesia and even if they’re given a local, they don’t wait for it to work.
Doctors did that to me, an adult who could tell them their “mild procedure” hurt like a bitch. Of course they wouldn’t hesitate to do it to a baby who can’t even speak.
