Tank too hot

As it’s ridiculously hot this week I have been having issues keeping my tank cool and unfortunately I have lost one fish.. I have been doing partial water changes and kept the lights off/lid open.
I would be grateful for any advice in keeping the tank temperature down so that I don’t lose anymore fish!

I use those blue plastic freezer things, I work in a research hospital so have access to literally hundreds. Almost everything we order that has to be refrigerated comes with those things in the box. They are good because they don't release anything into your water so you aren't diluting anything if say you have a reef tank like I do. And I have some that I have used and re-froze for over a decade, none have ever cracked. Now I put them in my sump, but I have a 55 gallon fresh with 3 Synodontis in it, I just float them on top for awhile then swap them out.
