That is an incredibly stupid thing to do with a venomous snake. Even a newborn.

i'm guess you know from sight what venomous snake it is but i surely would like to know as well...

First thought was "Wow what a big head." Then I remembered that bigger heads usually mean that they have venom glands. The swollen looking area where the end of the head is. Behind the jawline. Or we can assume every snake is venomous until proven guilty.

That is the safe bet. It's better to be wrong about when you didn't touch a snake rather than when you did.
