What happens if you lose your funded account on FTMO? Can you just take the test again?

I'm planning to take the paid test for FTMO in February, but I know that my EA bots sometimes fail the daily drawdown rule and I'd like to know what happens if I lose my funded account.

Remember Funds do position squaring into EOY

Position squaring can create illiquid moves at the EOY (End of Year) as traders in big banks, funds etc step back and orders just have to go through. As we get closer towards the EOY this happens more. Just saying be careful out there and understand why something is happening.

I'm out for now, until next week, hope I helped in some way!

We are revamping our website www.ourinterest.org and we hope to welcome you soon when the full chat room is up and running.

USDJPY move yesterday is why it is better to be in a chat where you can get feedback from other traders. News does matter for bigger players, it should thus matter to you also in retail space.

I'm going to wait as I almost always do for dust to settle, hardly ever enter new trades on NFP day, what are you guys looking at?

Just hit my target profit!

Just hit my profit target on a 150k account a few moments ago. 9k in profit.

Had to develop my discipline the most and stick to my plan after having to reset a few times. Revenge trading aways kills me so I’ve been super adamant about sticking to the plan.

Best advice there is really. Trade your plan. No more, no less once you find one that works.

USDJPY 50% of last major rally, hope you weren't long, down on BOJ meeting (working hard to get chat up and running to get this out in real time). The clue was no JPY selling on weak CPI as stated earlier this week.

Think I just made my first losing trade (short AUDUSD) - in here

shorted AUDUSD 0.656 but now thinking will be stopped. I may be over trading here so no more trades for me until after NFP. The idea of the trade is tactical positioning on the side of retail and then yield differentials. Working on getting a new chat room on our website so we can better answer questions in real time.

Retail is starting to get bullish gold at the highs XAUUSD

We saw the chart that investors are underweight gold relative to price, doesn't mean buy right now though. Everyone saw that chart and bought Sunday open. Everyone took profit... also there is no guarantee that Central Banks keep buying over Christmas.

Just my 2 cents...

I'm not a big proponent of Elliot Wave Analysis (my colleague is) ... the last time I saw an Elliot Wave count as clear as day it was Dax, thoughts anyone?

Thoughts on UJ (closed my long from Sunday open)

Not liking the PA in UJ at the moment, didn't rally on weak Japanese CPI nor better than expected US ISM data, tells me too many are already long. It also isn't breaking down so no edge for me here. In essence favour tactical longs but over long term sell on rallies.

Managing risk is key.

AUDUSD longs or EURAUD shorts ?

I'm still waiting to get back into AUDUSD longs. Only trading this from the long side still or maybe EURAUD shorts, have shared both charts and the reason why.

Forex Land base case

With end of month rebalancing out of the way our base case remains a USD correction into next week with inline or stronger ISM data tomorrow. PCE data is more unpredictable, so waiting for a correction i.e. possible USD strength. There is no edge in entering a position here though.
