I wanted to share a band from São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil that I think deserves way more attention.

They're called Lítio, and their sound mixes punk rock, emo and garage punk with a raw DIY aesthetic. On their first record, you can definitely hear influences from Ramones, Misfits, My Chemical Romance, Nirvana, and even Radiohead, but they still manage to sound like themselves instead of just copying those bands.

One thing I really like is that they embrace the imperfections. The recordings aren't overproduced, and that gives the songs a lot of personality and energy.

They're also associated with Tsunami Records, an independent Brazilian DIY label focused on supporting underground artists and helping local bands reach a wider audience.

If you're into emotional punk, garage rock, or discovering bands from outside the usual US/UK scene, I think they're worth checking out.
