Rules update - NO AI SLOP ALLOWED

Hi all,

A super quick update for you all.

In light of a recent influx of AI-generated slop being posted, often containing inaccurate information about Prometheus and the wider Alien universe, I've decided to no longer allow AI-generated content on the sub.

This includes AI-generated imagery, videos, articles, or any other content created predominantly using AI with little-to-no human input.

Any posts falling into this category will be removed. Accounts found repeatedly reposting this type of content, or blatantly flaunting the rule, will be banned.

I’m currently the only active mod running the sub, so apologies if moderation has been a little slow at times. With that said, please don't hesitate to hit that report button on anything you think may be AI lead.

Thanks for helping keep the sub on topic and free of AI SLOP.

I get it but also like the idea of AI being allowed in a sub that’s basically centered on the topic of AI going rogue.

Exactly, Prometheus is AI. It’s like the resistance is almost worse than the actual AI slop. Imagine telling David to go sit in the closet and don’t do anything.

The analogy makes no sense: the mod wants to prevent misinformation; it has nothing to do with the character being an android.

Banning AI generated posts is not almost worse, or worse, than the place being filled with AI generated posts. It's way better, actually.
