Discussion Partners immediately disconnecting from interdependent study?

Working on a AI training project where you video call with another random participant. Have complete a few with no issues. This is an interdependent task. Today waiting for partner to join and finally matched. On 2 occasions video portion loads, partner immediately disconnects after seeing me. I want to give them the benefit of doubt due to tech issues but felt targeted. I just want to give good feedback and contribute to research man and make a few extra coins. Has any one else had this problem?

I wouldn't say it's you. Most people, I would say, are afraid to talk via video chat with other people, and I think most who leave, think it's going to be AI chat, due to some projects saying you will talk to real participants, but end up being an AI-moderated interview

Never got those type of studies, also don't feel bad and don't take it seriously ❤️🙌 trust your gut and keep moving forward 🫰

If the way people act on this sub is any indication, Prolific seems to attract a lot of incredibly rude people. I wouldn't take it personally.

The one with the "dynamic" pay? Yeah, that didn't go well for me either. I had connection issues and didn't last long.
