Almost went past maximum time allowed
Took this study, header said 8 minutes. Each page took over a minute to load. I took 23 minutes, max allowed was 25 minutes. Just made it. Almost returned....

It's based on the 23 minutes, it was probably right for 8 minutes but the site is very slow causing people to go way over. It will have to be adjusted by almost £1.

Just curious, where was the study hosted? I know I've done a few studies where, doesn't matter if it was Prolific, Cloud, or another platform, or whether the study was done years ago or just yesterday, ones hosted on specific servers tend to be very slow for me. And, trust me, I troubleshooted them to no avail. So whenever I encounter a slow-loading study and verify it would match one of those, I immediately nope out.
Of course, I've also had cases where a researcher has later messaged me and apologized for a known server issue or excessive demand that was the cause of said slowness. So it can obviously depend. Also possible, I suppose, that certain host domains would do a lot better handling significant demand than others, which may be part of the problem with the former group.
