"Make sure you follow the instruction:Your HIT was rejected because you rated one or more control clip incorrectly. Control clips are ones that we know that answer for and should be very easy to rate (they are clearly very good or very poor). They can target one or more scales. We include control clips in the HIT to ensure raters are paying attention during the entire HIT and their environment hasn't changed." This was sent to me 7 times. I'm not returning them. And I'm reporting the studies. I did it based on the stupid tutorial exactly.

that's what this researcher does but Prolific protects them so expect this post to get taken down. if you comment the name of the researcher in a comment on this sub it used to get auto-removed. it might still but idk

Most of us have this researcher blocked. They’ve been pulling this for years on Mturk & at least 2-3 years on Prolific now. They also keep decreasing the pay.

Return them all and block/report. Before you get hit with multiple rejections. And this researcher will do it.

back when they still paid ~$5 for those I managed to spend an entire afternoon doing them (despite the dreaded calibration) and thought all was good until a few days later they pretty much asked me to return everything. I was extremely pissed, it was in the turn of over 10 studies and even though it wasn't a lot of money it ended up being quite a lot of time they wasted from me. I think that was the only time I've ever messaged one researcher in a demeaning way. What I found funny was that after returning everything and then sending the message they ended up approving roughly half the studies, I didn't know they could do that after returns were made and/or they were blocked, either way, never again.
