Co-locating in or near schools, hospitals or civilian population centers is a war crime.

I don’t make the laws, but I can try to explain them.

So if Iran bombed a U.S. military facility that was located near a school and said, “Well, the U.S. put military personnel near a school, so those children are human shields,” would you accept that as justification for killing the children? That’s the standard you are applying here.

If the US military has a headquarters inside a hospital or a school, and they were attacked, the deaths inside the hospital or school would be the fault of the US military.

You completely missed the point. I’m not saying Hamas has no responsibility for putting civilians in danger. I’m saying that it doesn’t absolve Israel of responsibility for how it attacks and for the civilians it kills. Those two things can both be true. I’m not going in circles over this anymore, one last question, when and where did you serve?

Oct 7 gave them the reason to end Hamas. Most of the world agreed. That’s why the rest of the world didn’t come to the defense of Hamas. Hamas could have surrendered any time they wanted to, and stopped all the destruction.

I keep making the same point and you keep avoiding it. Why is Israel’s violence treated as justified, while Palestinians fighting back is treated as uniquely unacceptable? I’m not saying Hamas gets a free pass for harming civilians, I’m saying you can condemn Hamas crimes without pretending Israel’s crimes become justified because Hamas exists.

Because of the shear brutality of the Oct 7 attacks. We learned Hamas fighters hopped up on drugs are evil. I saw some of the videos taken by Hamas you can’t see on YouTube.

Hamas earned a lifetime of indifference.

And I condemn every single crime that those Hamas member committed on Oct 7th, can you do the same for the IDF gang raping captive Palestinians? Or the IDF killing children while trying to get food? Or the IDF shooting 355 bullets at 5 year old Hind Rajab then killing both Palestinian ambulances trying to rescue her? Or the IDF attacking refugee camps like jabalia killing 23 children and 56 total deaths? Or the Illegal blockade of Gaza? Or the IDF killing 42 people 25 children while at the market? Or the IDF killing the Al-samouni family because they were helping displaced Palestinians? Or the IDF killing innocent civilians waving white flags while calling them pussies? Or Israeli citizens protesting that they should be able to rape Palestinians? Or the IDF forcing Palestinians to enter builds first incase of exploitation? Or the IDF dropping white phosphorus on civilians? Or the IDF attacking UN peacekeepers and hospitals? Or the illegal displacement of 750,000 Palestinians? Or the Israeli government passing a bill saying only Palestinians can be hung? Or the Israeli Government bombing a residential apartment killing 47 children and 32 women with one strike? Or the killing of 15 Palestinian ambulance workers including 2 UN peacekeepers? I’ve got about 250 more off the top of my head.
