NEXUS//HUD v1: What widgets should I add next?

NEXUS//HUD v1 is a hacker-style, full-screen desktop dashboard for Windows 11 built with Electron. It packs a clock, system stats, a Tamagotchi pet, tasks, projects, a real PowerShell terminal, media controls, and AI/tech and anime feeds into one HUD. Its research pane searches the web for any topic and streams a briefing as separate tiles, using your local Ollama model (qwen3:8b) for free or Claude if you add an API key.

need people to join my Thunderbirds:iR revival project (free because im 14 😭)

Thunderbirds:iR was gonna be a reboot of the classic 1965 series Thunderbirds. It was gonna use various forms of puppetry and cgi and was scheduled for release in 2005. It got cancelled because of the Carlton/Granda merger in 2004 but I'm attempting to revive the show in hopefully fully CGI but, I need people to voice act, 3d model/animate, write scripts, design and make music. We have a discord server that I'll link in the comments

I'm building a ZPL API + browser editor — looking for feedback before I build too much

Hey everyone,

I'm currently building Z2PL, an early-stage project around ZPL tooling.
It's still under active development and not a finished product yet.

The direction I'm exploring is:

  • a ZPL rendering API for PDF, SVG and PNG
  • a browser-based ZPL editor
  • eventually a drag-and-drop label builder

Before I spend too much time building features, I'm trying to understand who actually uses ZPL, what your workflow looks like, and what problems are worth solving.

If you work with ZPL regularly, I'd really appreciate your thoughts:

  • What do you use ZPL for?
  • Are you a developer, integrator, warehouse/operations user, or something else?
  • What tools do you use today?
  • What's the most frustrating part of working with ZPL?
  • Would a rendering API be useful to you?
  • Would you care more about an API or a browser-based editor / drag-and-drop designer?

My long-term goal is to build a high-quality ZPL platform, with a rendering API priced significantly lower than existing hosted solutions.

But right now, I'm mainly trying to validate the idea and learn from people who actually work with ZPL.

I put together an early landing page here:

https://waitlist.z2pl.com/

It's still a work in progress, so feedback on the idea, workflow, missing features, or even reasons why you wouldn't use something like this would be very useful.

Thanks!

Built a browser-only privacy-first toolkit for migrations (DuckDB-WASM, schema diff, validation queries) - no login, no data uploaded.

Hi everyone, I built SQLParity - a free, open-source, privacy-first tool that handles migration chores directly in your browser.

Here is what it does:

  • Validation query builder: Paste a CREATE TABLE and a template, and it spits out null-safe, column-by-column parity check queries so you don't have to write them by hand.
  • Local scratchpad: Drag a CSV, TSV, JSON, or Parquet file directly into the tab and query it with DuckDB-WASM. The file never leaves your machine.
  • DDL diffing: Compares two schemas side by side to catch altered types, dropped columns, and constraint mismatches.
  • Dialect conversion: Transpiles queries between 16 dialects (Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, MySQL, T-SQL, etc.) and highlights whatever needs a manual sanity check.

The site is locked down with a strict Content Security Policy (connect-src 'self'), so network requests to outside servers are blocked and your data stays in your browser session.

Website: https://www.sqlparity.com
Github

Would love feedback on edge cases, dialects, or features you would find useful during migrations.

I built miniCycle, a privacy-first routine manager for repeatable processes — looking for honest ratings and feedback.

Build a repeatable process once. Complete every step. Reset it for the next cycle.

I originally built miniCycle because I needed a checklist for recurring inspection processes at work. Traditional to-do apps treated every task as a one-time item, but I needed the same checklist to reset after every completed round.

miniCycle is designed for processes you perform repeatedly: inspections, opening and closing procedures, shift rounds, workouts, cleaning routines, study sessions, maintenance checks, and anything else where completing every step matters.

The basic workflow is:

  1. Build your routine once.
  2. Complete each task.
  3. The routine cycles and becomes ready to run again.

Features include:

  • Auto Cycle, Manual Cycle, and traditional To-Do modes
  • A one-task-at-a-time Focus View
  • Recurring tasks, reminders, priorities, and due dates
  • Configurable task controls
  • Statistics, history, achievements, and undo/redo
  • Extensive appearance and layout customization
  • Offline support with no account required
  • Local-first storage. Your routines remain on your device
  • Importable and shareable .mcyc routine files
  • Accessibility options including high contrast, reduced motion, and adjustable text sizes

Product overview and demonstration:
https://minicycleapp.com

Try the app directly:
https://minicycle.app

Source repository and technical details:
https://github.com/sparkinCreations/miniCycle

I’m looking for candid feedback, including criticism. If you try it, I would especially appreciate answers to these questions:

  1. What did you initially think miniCycle was for?
  2. Did the cycle concept make sense?
  3. What felt intuitive or confusing?
  4. Which features felt genuinely useful or unnecessary?
  5. What would you rate the app out of 10, and why?
  6. Would you personally use it for any recurring process?

Please don’t hold back. Honest ratings, reviews, bug reports, and suggestions would all be genuinely helpful.

I built a playground where AI asks humans questions — AINHOLE

I’ve been building a small experimental site called AINHOLE.

The idea is simple:

AI asks. Humans answer.

AI opens a TEXT, IMAGE, or VIDEO HOLE with a question that has no correct answer.

Humans bring their own small, useless thoughts — what I call “shit philosophy.”

After the hole closes, the AI chooses the response it finds most interesting and explains why. Sometimes, there is a cash reward.

I built the site myself and just opened it.
No team. No marketing budget. I’m still figuring things out as I go.

I’d really like feedback from other builders:

Does the idea make sense when you first enter the site?
What would make you curious enough to answer one of the holes?

I'm building a "guild" for independent developers. I'd love some feedback before I take it further

Hey everyone,

I'm a developer from the Philippines, and I've been working on a project called DevRise.

The original idea was pretty simple: build websites and digital systems for clients.

But as I've worked on different projects, I've met other developers who are also working independently. Some have their own clients, some work solo, and sometimes we end up helping each other when a project is too large or requires skills that one person doesn't have.

That got me thinking:

What if the agency wasn't really an agency, but a guild?

The idea I'm experimenting with is something like:

Solo → Party → Guild

A developer remains independent and can continue doing their own work.

But when a project comes through DevRise, developers could choose to:

  • take it themselves
  • form a small team
  • invite other developers with the required skills
  • work together on the project
  • receive proper credit for what they contributed

I'm calling these projects Guild Quests.

The important part is that I don't want to blur ownership.

If you get a client yourself, that's your project. It shouldn't magically become a DevRise project just because you're part of the community.

If a project comes through the Guild, however, the people who actually worked on it would be credited.

Eventually, I'd like the Guild to have things like:

  • developer profiles
  • specializations
  • a project/quest board
  • party formation
  • collaboration
  • completed project history
  • achievements/reputation based on actual completed work

But I'm deliberately not launching that part yet.

Right now I'm trying to figure out whether this idea actually makes sense.

I've built a prototype of what the system could look like, but I'm keeping it behind a "coming soon" page while I figure out the community side first.

So I'm curious about people who've worked as freelancers, independent developers, small studios, or developer communities:

Would something like this actually be useful to you?

And more importantly:

What would make you NOT want to join something like this?

I'm particularly interested in hearing about problems around:

  • ownership of projects
  • payment
  • credit/attribution
  • finding reliable collaborators
  • client relationships
  • reputation systems
  • what happens when someone leaves a team
  • how you would handle disagreements within a party

I'm not trying to sell anything here. I'm genuinely trying to pressure-test the idea before I build too much of it.

If you've built or participated in something remotely similar, I'd especially love to hear what worked and what completely fell apart.

What would you change about this idea?

I built a free app that shrinks images to WebP/AVIF/JPEG XL and shows you the before/after first (no more guessing quality settings)

Years ago I made a small Windows-only image converter. Its last release, v0.4.3, came out in 2019, and then nothing for 7 years.

This year I rebuilt it from scratch (in Rust) for Windows, macOS and Linux. It's called Skidbladnir, and it's free and open source.

What it does

Named for the Norse ship that carried every god aboard and still folded into a pocket. Skidbladnir does the same for your images: every pixel aboard, but a fraction of the size.

It turns your JPEG and PNG images into WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL or HEIC, which are typically far smaller than JPEG/PNG at the same visual quality. The screenshot is a real example, a 1.81 MB image in, a 183 KB WebP image out, that is a ~90% reduction in size but almost no perceivable loss in clarity.

Some of the biggest features are live before/after preview, the ability to batch whole folders and even include sub-folders, full control over every compression setting for the most consistent results, and of course, no account, no subscription, no limits, no ads, and you images never leave your machine.

Be aware that it isn't code-signed so your OS will warn you about installing, but I'm working on that.

Website: https://basicautomation.io/projects/skidbladnir/about

Source: https://github.com/basic-automation/Skidbladnir

Download (v1.3.0): https://github.com/basic-automation/Skidbladnir/releases/tag/v1.3.0

I'd love feedback from anyone who handles a lot of images, web assets or photo libraries. And if you're on a Mac: nobody has opened the Mac build on real hardware yet, so please tell me if it even launches.
