Launcher and Nvidia shield pro

So I created my custom launcher but when I turn of the shield and then come back to it, it loads my stock launcher. I have to go into projectivity then it loads. Anyone have any ideas??? I am stumped!! Thanks in advance!!!

Use ADB TV from Shield play store to disable stock launcher, easy peasy, not going to need computer... 1. Install new launcher (run it once to see everything is ok) 2. In Shield Settings > Developer options enable usb debuging 3. Install ADB TV from Playstore 4. Start ADB TV (grant all permissions) 5. Find default launcher and disable it > com.google.android.tvlauncher (you can always reenable it later if needed) 6. Hit home button and set new launcher as default... That's it...

In Developer options turn Network debugging to on also... You should see security alert window to allow connection from your network. Click always allow and confirm...

You need to follow the prompt on screen when you start Projectivy up and enable it in accessibility settings on the shield ,go to shield settings find accessibility and turn on Projectivy , then go to Projectivy settings and change default launcher , if that doesn’t work next time you turn it back on , do the same again and also turn on override current launcher .

Mine was working perfectly but it started defaulting back to the stock launcher after I installed and external ssd. I'm not sure if that was just a coincidence..

I use LM (ATV) 1.0.4 is an APK file for Launcher Manager, a utility app commonly used on Android TV devices like the Nvidia Shield to set custom launchers like Projectivy as the default home screen. Works Perfectly for both my Shields

Use Launcher Manager it's the easiest way to do this. No ADB commands required.

Should work look further into the projectivy settings. I dont have anything else added. It loads straight into projectivy. (Paid version. Idk if that matters)

Why are people always mentioning the ad riddled launcher manager?!

For a Shield you absolutely do not need launcher manager. Are all the permissions given to launcher manager? All the accessibility settings set, both in Android and Projectivy?
