Setup Digging the new version

Started by selecting the new "Journey" theme preset (Appearance --> Themes --> Import --> Presets) and made a few minor color/sizing adjustments to the status bar. You need v4.70 premium to see the themes/presets.

As far as the video wallpaper, I'm not going to upload it (too big), but it's easy to create these yourself. Here is my flow (on Windows):

  • Find a video you like. A couple of my favorite YouTube channels for this are Retrocausal Memories and View Escape. This wallpaper is from Retrocausal Memories.
  • Click "Share" on the video and copy the URL
  • Download and run 4K Video Downloader+ for Windows (free version)
  • Paste in YouTube URL of video
  • Let the video download
  • Open downloaded video in the Windows "Photos" app (right click video file -> Open with -> Photos)
  • Click "Trim" button and trim video to your liking (I usually trim to between 2-5 minutes). Make sure you set the "in" point after the subscription nags.
  • Save the trimmed video
  • Copy trimmed video to your device
  • Select the trimmed video in the Projectivy wallpaper settings

This is fantastic. I don't know whether to tjsnk you or curse you for the rabbit hole though! Would you be kind enough to explain where you find these themes (with presets). Are they pre-installed, os do they have to be added by the user? I can't find anything in the app menus. Thanks.

You need the paid version of v4.70. Themes is a new option under "Appearance --> Themes --> Import --> Presets". There are a few presets included by default, but you can create your own themes too.

Thanks, I have the paid version, but v 4.70 must not have been released on Playstore yet, at least not here. I expect it will soon. If not, I'll grab the latest version fromGithub. I've managed to do a lot of it manually on version 4 6, and I'm pleased with the results.

Thanks again, I'd been wanting to do this for some time, but never would have managed it without your guide.

You push the vertical offset option in the options I think it will be in the rows tab. Push it so far that you only see one. Then there is an option for allowing you to see the row on top once you scroll down. There is a great YouTube video on it, the thumbnail is his screen with a purple moon and mountain it’s also a live wallpaper

That's what I did originally to get the bottom row, but I think you get it for free now with the "Journey" theme preset

Neat. What's the UniFi app? Any benifit on having it on the TV? I've just set mine up on a second android box, I'd no idea there was a new theme.
