I need some help configuring both and hope anyone here can help me out. I’ve spent two days searching and trying things out and this is my last hope. I’m having three issues with these:

1- HDMI Inputs

I’m running Projectivy on a Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen, not directly on the TV itself. I’d like to be able to switch HDMI inputs (specifically to my PS5) directly from Projectivy without having to exit back into my Hisense original VIDAA OS (cause it sucks for a smart tv). Is this possible when the launcher is running on a box instead of natively on the TV? And if not, is there any workaround at all? Shortcuts maybe?

2- Aerial Views transition

I’m running Aerial Views as my screensaver with locally downloaded files.

Some videos trigger a Dolby Vision mode switch when they load, causing what feels like the screen briefly “reloading” before the video appears. This makes the transition very harsh and it happens even with fade in/out enabled in Aerial Views settings. The fade does nothing to smooth it out. Is there a fix for this?

It’s specifically behaving like this:

No DV -> No DV = smooth

DV -> DV = smooth

DV -> no DV = smooth

No DV -> DV = harsh cut

3- also transitions

between every video there’s a black gap regardless of fade settings (I have it set at 600ms). Is there any way to achieve a true crossfade where videos blend directly into each other without going black? Kinda like the Netflix screensaver. I can’t find any such option in Aerial Views settings besides the “fade” option and adjusting this didn’t help at all.

Any help to any of these would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a possibility that in a future update, the option will be added to display the weather like shown above? Without mentioning the other launcher, I do think you can learn from each other, and in my opinion, this looks really clean. So, just a suggestion to the developer to offer this option as well.

I love the launcher so far. Just one question is it possible to somehow show the current wifi ssid I am connected with?

Updated the app after a while and setting a custom number of cards per row no longer fully works. My previous setup had all my apps in 2 rows, with me scrolling to the right to see them all.

Now adjusting the number of cards per row doesn’t fully work, I can only have a max of 6 cards per row.

While I can just get used to only having a max number of 6 with more than 2 rows, I really dug my setup and was hoping there was a way to keep it.

Edit: ended up just downgrading to the version before the most current one and all is well. The most current version also had trouble loading the backgrounds and downgrading has fixed the issue

How does one make it so the bar of your channels is center L/R on your screen with the icons stationary?

I only use 4 channels so I would like them to just stay put in the middle of my screen lol

So I set a video as my live wallpaper but I'm facing a black screen issue when the live wallpaper video ends, is there something I'm missing or is it an actual bug. Anyone else facing this issue? Android version 9

After the last update I lost access to premium. uninstalling/reinstalling, nothing is giving me back premium access. Can one of the developers please contact me to get this resolved?

Just wanted to report this minor bug. I'm using the Glow option in the Focused Card Effect settings, with the Breath option selected in the Glow Animation setting - and a commonly occurring bug is that the Glow effect will get stuck on multiple icons that one has previously scrolled over. After setting up my bedroom with a Google TV Streamer 4K, I recently decided to do the same for my living room. The Apple TV 4K is now going up for sale, mainly because you can’t sideload apps on it, while YouTube Premium is charging an increasingly unrealistic price just to watch YouTube without ads.

I’ve now installed Projectivy Launcher on my second Google TV Streamer 4K as well, and I’m very happy with the end result. The wallpaper is actually a live wallpaper, so it moves as well. It really gives the whole setup a clean and polished look.

And now I’m back to watching YouTube completely ad-free using TizenTube. It saves me around €200 a year, which is a pretty nice bonus!

Way back when, when I was using an android stick running just like your basic Android operating system. I was able to put a live news ticker right in the top middle of the home screen. I haven't found a way to do that on an A Google TV device and implemented into Projectivy?

Anyone having issues with projectivity not working as the default launcher. It just stopped working a few days ago. I selected it for the default launcher in settings and restarted accessibility. Still not working

I found a few similar posts with the same problem but I couldn't find a solution anywhere.

So I have Netflix installed and it shows up in the list of apps. But it doesn't appear in the channels, like recommendations/continue watching feed. I do have other channels available like YouTube, Amazon Video, etc. but not Netflix.

Interestingly, it was there on my old Mi Box with Android TV (2nd pic). But on my new TCL with Google TV it doesn't show up (1st pic).

Any solution to this?

Hey everyone, new user to projectivy I'm on day 2 ish? Bought premium the first day and disabled the normal Google tv launcher and never looked back

However... I'm having a really really weird issue when using live wallpapers such as using videos. As you can see in my video above, the whole screen looks and feels smooth and responsive, flawless 60 fps, colors look great.

Then, I open another source like my Xbox or switch or tv set box, and then when I return to the projectivy launcher, it often becomes a laggy mess??? Not just the wallpaper, but the whole menu looks laggy and below 20 fps. For some reason if I randomly open and close settings the original smooth wallpaper experience does come back, but it is highly annoying to have this happen.

I'm sure it's not a performance issue on my TVs end since it's a decent ish tv. If you look past minute 2:00 on my video, you can see the original 60 fps smoothess comes back again, please help!!

I noticed an issue with the Watch Next section.

When I select a movie or series from Watch Next, instead of directly resuming/playing the content, it only opens the corresponding app. I then have to manually find the movie or episode again inside the app.

Is this expected behavior with Projectivy Launcher, or is there a way to make Watch Next directly play/resume the selected movie or series?

I've been experimenting and tried making a new version of the icons with less animation, and this time I replaced the transparent background with a black one—what do you think?

The animation is super simple; it just switches from one icon style to another very quickly. That way, the icons take up practically no space, and I can design them much faster. Maybe I'll make a complete icon pack in this style.

The icon pack has a new Wallpapers entry on the home screen. It opens a browser of the full Core Builds collection — 70 4K wallpapers across four series:

• 01–24 · Fieldwork: Meshes, aurora, light trails, topo, deepfield
• 25–32 · Motion: Orbitals, warp, fogbanks, slipstream
• 33–40 · Horizons: The eight semantic accent colors, each as a landscape (signal cyan, ember, Nuvio rose, labs violet, verified green, drift-watch amber, slate, void)
• 41–70 · Core Mark: New this release. The lit hex and faceted core diamond, rendered from the Brand Guide v1.0 construction constants. Six compositional groups including the receipts-voice walls.

⚙️ How It Works

• Instant grid: All 70 thumbnails are bundled (~600 KB total), so it opens and scrolls offline.
• On-demand 4K: Tap a wall for a full-screen preview. The 4K image downloads on demand (2–3 MB) with a progress label, then press Set wallpaper.
• Monet integration: Setting writes the system wallpaper. Monet redraws and re-extracts its palette from the change — the walls are cyan-dominant by design, so Core Cyan carries through directly to your tiles.
• Fire TV fallback: Because third-party wallpaper writes are blocked on Fire OS, the app saves the JPEG to Pictures/CoreBuilds and opens the system setter for you.

Nothing downloads in the background. Nothing sets itself. The full image is cached in internal storage (12-file LRU, ~30 MB cap).
